If you are unsure of English grammar, spelling, idioms or simply lack confidence with words, I can help. If English is not your native language, it can be difficult to know what “sounds right”, and spell-check software can easily lead you astray.

For the small business or community group, my services are a value-for-money alternative to specialised proof-reading businesses whose charges may be beyond your means.

I will look over your typed-up work on paper or electronically before it goes to the printers or goes live on your website. I will check it for spelling and grammar mistakes, and turn it into elegant British English if necessary.

This is suitable for leaflets and brochures, flyers, reports and content for your website. My rate is based on the time it will take me: a more sensible and economical basis than the price-per-page used by most proof-reading firms. I will give you an estimate after our initial consultation.
